Privacy Policy

Happy Lock ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

Information we do not collect

Happy Lock does not require you to create an account. We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, or any other personally identifiable information.

Information collected automatically

We collect limited anonymous data to operate and improve the app:

• Purchase and subscription status — managed by Adapty, Inc. on our behalf. Adapty receives an anonymous profile ID and your subscription state (active, expired, etc.). Apple handles all payment processing; we never see your payment details.
• Anonymous usage events — when you launch the app, complete a gratitude session, or make a purchase, a brief anonymous event is sent to our private analytics channel. These events contain no personal identifiers.
• Gratitude prompts — daily gratitude text prompts are loaded from a publicly accessible file hosted on Firebase Storage. No data is sent to Firebase about you.

Screen Time data

Happy Lock uses Apple's Screen Time framework (Family Controls) to block selected apps. All Screen Time data stays on your device and is never transmitted to us or any third party.

Local notifications

Daily reminder notifications are scheduled locally on your device. We do not operate a push notification server and do not receive any data when a notification is delivered or tapped.

Third-party services

• Adapty — subscription management. Adapty Privacy Policy
• Apple App Store / StoreKit — in-app purchases. Apple's privacy policy governs all payment data.
• Firebase Storage (Google) — hosts gratitude text prompts. Read-only access; no user data is sent.

Data retention

Your gratitude entries and app settings are stored locally on your device using iOS standard storage. We do not have access to this data, and it is deleted when you uninstall the app.

Children's privacy

Happy Lock is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page reflects when it was last revised. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
